From daring dives to last-minute lunges, the divas in white, red, black, and green have left everything on the court. Despite defeats to Namibia and Singapore, their resilience has captured hearts — both in the UAE and back home.
Match 1: Kenya vs Namibia – Fierce Debut, Fearless Fight
Kenya’s opening match against Namibia was nothing short of electric. Our ladies came out with unmatched intensity, meeting Namibia pound for pound in a game filled with physicality, urgency, and raw grit.
Kenya started strong — intercepting crucial passes in the center third and quickly converting them into goals. The Attackers, Center dazzled with clever footwork, while Goalkeeper made several key blocks that kept the scoreline tight in all the quarters.But Namibia’s experience and structure saw them pull away. Despite a valiant push, the match ended 41–33.
“We gave it our all. There’s no shame in how we played — only hunger to grow,” said Captain post-match.
Match 2: Kenya vs Singapore – A Two-Point Thriller
If the first match was a baptism of fire, the second was a chess match — fast-paced, technical, and nerve-wracking. Kenya took on Singapore in what would become one of the most intense clashes of the group stage so far.
From the first whistle, Kenya showed sharpened coordination. Center dictated the rhythm, while Goal Shooter found space to land clean, confident shots. The defensive duo at the back held off multiple attacks with aggressive tackling and high-press intercepts.
The game swung back and forth — both teams locked at 40–40 with just under a minute to go. But Singapore edged ahead with two late scores, claiming a dramatic 42–40 victory.
“It stings, but we fought like warriors,” said the Captain. “And we’re not done.”
